Even with the extension of Uniworld Cruises suspension, I believe now is the best time to book (or rebook) your cruise and explain why here. If you have questions about your canceled cruise (or planning your next cruise) use the contact form or call 844-483-6669 and I’ll joyfully provide unbiased information and advice.

Uniworld Cruises Announcement: 9/16/20

Please be advised that Uniworld has unfortunately suspended departures October 1-31 as of today. All terms and policies for guests bookings and FTC options remain the same.

On August 10 when CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) announced the extension of the suspension of cruises it was only a matter of time before cruise lines made announcements about their short term plans. In order to comply with the CDC’s current suspension of operations Uniworld Cruises had announced the extension of their voluntary suspension through September 15, 2020.

As it turns out, planning to resume on September 16 was little more than a fantasy that didn’t take into account common sense or an awareness of what is happening in the world. Until recently I had my own version of the fantasy, hoping cruises would return sooner rather than later. I’ve now come to the conclusion that cruises may still be an option late in 2020 but if (and it’s a big if) they do, the options will be limited to 3-4 day cruises.

On August 24, 2020, Uniworld Cruises announced the extension of their suspension through September 30, 2020 (official statement below) and truthfully, I’m skeptical of that return to service date.
