Royal Caribbean announced a change in the itinerary for the July 19, 2021 sailing aboard Quantum of the Seas to Alaska due to what they’re calling port congestion. All the originally scheduled ports will be visited, Royal is just switching the day Quantum will be visiting Sitka and Juneau.

Below is the revised itinerary for the July 19, 2021 sailing to Alaska on Quantum of the Seas. Bold indicates the changes.
Day | Port of Call | Arrive | Depart |
Mon | Seattle, Washington | 4:00 pm | |
Tue | Cruising | ||
Wed | Sitka, Alaska | 9:00 am | 6:00 pm |
Thu | Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier | 5:30 am | 10:00 am |
Thu | Icy Strait Point, Alaska | 4:30 pm | 10:00 pm |
Fri | Juneau, Alaska | 7:00 am | 8:00 pm |
Sat | Cruising | ||
Sun | Victoria, British Columbia | 4:00 pm | 10:00 pm |
Mon | Seattle, Washington | 7:00 am |
At first glance, it seems the change is simply the day of the week Quantum will be in the two ports of Sitka and Juneau and that’s true but not the whole story. Royal Caribbean is adding extra time in both ports, which is fantastic because there are so many great excursions that allow you to experience the local culture in each port. The other change is there will be a little less time to explore in Victoria, British Columbia.

Quantum of the Seas is one of the newer Royal Caribbean ships with plenty of fun things to do for those who like to be busy and plenty of places and spaces to relax for those who prefer a more relaxing vacation.
NorthStar (pictured above) takes guests 300 feet in the air in a pod attached to an arm for a 360 degree view. For those afraid of heights (like me!), the bumper cars, water slides, iFly (a skydiving simulator), and flo-rider are just a few activities that guarantee you’ll never be bored.
There is no shortage of great shows, music, and places to relax and have a drink on Quantum of the Seas if those types of activities aren’t your speed. Relax on the deck, in one of the pools or hot tubs, or take advantage of the Spa services or gym. The phrase “there’s something for everyone” has never been more true than on Quantum.
Alaska is a must see destination for many people (including me — I’ll be on this sailing!) and there is still plenty of room to get on board. We (Dream Vacations by Jennifer and Joel – JJTravelAssociates.com) have contracted group rates for anyone who is interested in seeing Alaska on a gorgeous ship and saving some money in the process.
