Princess announced today that Emerald Princess Australia cruises have been cancelled through March 9, 2022 due to (what else?) uncertainty surrounding the restart of cruises due to Covid. Princess does have plans to reposition Emerald Princess in North America but hasn’t released those details yet. Emerald Princess, pictured below, has sailed mostly longer itineraries (8+ days) in the past.

Guests Impacted By The Cancellation of Emerald Princess Australia Cruises Have Options:

  • Transfer to an equivalent replacement cruise
    • Guests can elect to have their booking transferred to an equivalent cruise in 2022 or 2023.
    • Requests to rebook will be honored in the order they are received.
    • The rebooking offer will have the added benefit of protecting the guests’ existing fares on their replacement cruise in the event the new cruise fare is higher.
    • Please refer to the Voyage Cancellation/Replacement List to determine your clients’ equivalent replacement cruise(s).
    • Money paid to Princess in excess of the cruise fare for Princess Vacation Protection, taxes, fees and port expenses, hotel packages or transfers will be moved to the new booking. Princess EZair, shore excursions and special service items will be refunded.
  • Future Cruise Credit (FCC)
    • Guests can choose to accept a special higher-value Future Cruise Credit offer equivalent to 100% of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 10% of the cruise fare paid (minimum $25 USD*).
    • FCCs can be used on any cruise booked by and sailing by December 31, 2022.
    • Money paid to Princess in excess of the cruise fare for Princess Vacation Protection, taxes, fees and port expenses, Princess EZair or hotel packages will be refunded, as will any prepaid shore excursions and/or special service items
    • FCC redemption: FCCs for these cancelled cruises can be used toward a deposit on a future booking, however, they cannot be applied toward air or hotel. Please note that FCCs in lieu of refund (limited to up to 100% of cruise fare) are refundable, but bonus FCCs are not.
