Carnival’s vaccination requirements as of this moment means all guests who wish to experience Alaska this summer must be fully vaccinated and show proof. This policy includes age-eligible children and all adults. Guests who are not vaccinated and children who are not yet eligible for a vaccine will not be able to sail. All guests will be asked to confirm their fully Covid-19 vaccinated status during check-in and provide proof before boarding. Remember that under Carnival’s vaccination requirements, fully vaccinated means the final dose of the vaccine was administered at least 14 days prior to boarding.

It should also be noted that under Carnival’s vaccination requirements all guests must come prepared to prove they qualify to board the ship and those who are unwilling or unable will not be able to cruise and will not be issued a refund.

Additionally, as of this writing (5/25/21) face masks are still required by the CDC but could change at any point and all guests will be notified of any new requirements.

Requiring guests to be vaccinated is becoming the industry standard but Carnival is taking it a step further by turning away children who don’t qualify for the vaccine. Other cruise lines are allowing ineligible minors to board as long as they have a negative Covid-19 test result. All these protocols are under the control of the CDC and local government and are made thoughtfully with the health and safety of guests and crew in mind.
